We acknowledge the spiritual and cultural custodians of Whadjuk Nyungar Boodjar, on whose land our office resides within proximity to Walyalup. Furthermore, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of all lands throughout Australia, and the Indigenous peoples beyond our shores. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the culture, stories, and dreams of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise and respect the wisdom of the Ancestors and Elders, their ways of knowing and doing, and their continued relationship with their land and waterways. We also recognise the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, who are our future and our hope. Finally, we acknowledge and respect all non-Indigenous Australians who share our vision for a fuller expression of Australia's nationhood as we empower our First Peoples.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY imageCORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY image
20 by 2020  ~ Strive to 25 by 2025

In December 2016, Director Frank Mitchell, made a pledge to create 20 electrical apprenticeships by the end of 2020 for Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander men and women.

"The opportunity presented itself because someone recognised the potential in me and was willing to give me a chance.  I didn’t understand the word ‘reciprocity’ until later, but I understood that with opportunity comes responsibility.  I wanted to make that same difference to others who needed a hand up."

Frank Mitchell joined Tim Bidstrup to become first-time business owners in 2015. At the time, we had nine employees and they were excited by the prospect of not only being managers, but leaders as well. Frank recognised that his acceleration from apprentice, to electrician, to project manager, to Director, to co-owner, had all started with something that was beyond his control.

Here we are, four years later. Although we created 12 x electrical apprenticeships, we created 22 positions in total due to the evolution of Wilco.

These included 4 traineeships in Construction, 3 in Administration, and 3 Trade Assistant positions. Out of all 22 positions only the Trade Assistant positions were casual.

We have not rested following our success of the 20 by 2020 initiative. Our commitment to creating Aboriginal apprenticeships continues with our Strive to 25 initiative, where we have committed to creating a further 25 positions for Aboriginal people by the end of 2025.

We thank our extended work team who have been absolutely magnificent in being supervisors, trainers and mentors to all the Aboriginal men and women on this journey.

Importantly, we would not have been able to achieve this journey without the support of our clients! Giving us an opportunity and standing beside us as we strived to grow a culture of corporate social responsibility.

Real-Time Energy Intelligence. Measurable Results

Wilco Energy, powered by Numen AI, helps Australia’s industrial and commercial sectors take control of their energy performance. We don’t just monitor — we translate complex signals into actionable strategies that reduce downtime, prevent power disruptions, and improve site efficiency.

With over 30 years of field experience, Director Russ Wilson and the Wilco Energy team bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical solutions.

What We Do

Numen AI Delivers the Signal. Wilco Energy Turns It Into the Solution

Numen AI is Australia’s most advanced energy intelligence platform — capturing the real-time patterns and power quality issues most systems miss.

Wilco Energy takes that data and turns it into results:

  • Diagnosing and resolving energy waste
  • Improving power quality and compliance
  • Reducing costly downtime for industrial operations
  • Supporting project teams with actionable insights, not just reports
Numen AI captures the real-time energy signals most systems miss — delivering the data Wilco Energy turns into solutions
Who We Work With

We help power quality specialists and industry consultants simplify their sales process by handling the end-to-end logging, analysis, and reporting their clients need. With Wilco Energy, solutions providers can focus on delivering outcomes — without the overhead of managing data capture and interpretation themselves.

Engineers and Large Industry

We deliver defensible, quality data engineers and site managers can rely on — helping them make confident, informed decisions without needing to install or manage loggers themselves.

Electricians

We help mid-tier and industrial electricians determine the root causes of faults quickly, building trust and strengthening client relationships.

Why Wilco Energy

  • 30+ years of electrical contracting expertise in WA
  • Authorised Numen AI reseller and installation partner
  • Trusted by engineers, electricians, and solutions providers
  • Backed by Wilco Electrical’s reputation and Indigenous apprenticeship legacy
