To mark 20 years of Wilco Electrical, we wanted to do something meaningful. Not just to celebrate where we’ve been, but to honour the Country we’ve built on, the people who have shaped our journey, and the connections that continue to guide us forward.
We were proud to commission Noongar, Wardandi artist ~ Kehaan Lange-McGuire to create a bespoke artwork that reflects these values.
This piece draws from Whadjuk boodja, with the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) at its centre. It is a powerful symbol of connection, flow, and continuity while also reflecting Kambarang, the Noongar season of birth, renewal, and wildflowers.
There is something particularly special in this alignment as Wilco Electrical began during Kambarang! The season that represents new beginnings, growth, and possibility. The same themes that have defined our journey over the past two decades.
The artwork tells a deeper story:
• The flowing waterways represent connection to Country
• The gathering symbols reflect people coming together in unity
• The circles represent the strong, enduring relationships we’ve built
At its heart, this piece is about more than our history. It’s about respect for culture, for community, and for the land we operate on.
We thank Kehaan for sharing his story, his talent, and his perspective with us. This artwork will remain a lasting reminder of who we are, where we’ve come from, and the responsibility we carry moving forward.
